The Society is dedicated to the collection, study and documentation of the Latrobe community's heritage and to the preservation of local history and its ethnic roots.

Changes for 2025

We are finally back on online after a maintenance period June 23 - Sept. 19 to remove the ecommerce upgrade. Any purchases of our products must now be done in person.

Membership - Memberships tiers will be changed for 2026. You can still renew at 2025 rates until Jan. 1, 2026.
Donations - Donations can now be made to PayPal Giving Fund. See Donation page. We incur no fee for this service.
Appeals - Spring and Fall 2025 appeal notices will be through the Gazettes to reduce labor and mailing cost for letters.
Thank You - Thank you letters will be sent to those paying over $50.
Security - A lock box was installed on the front entrance to allow the Latrobe Fire Department to gain emergency access.
Storage - Map cases donated by the Westmoreland County Historical Society were installed for large print storage.
